Our Hope Is In the Lord
Over the last nine months, our hope has been greatly tested by circumstances beyond our control. It has culminated in a contentious election that has exposed extensive election fraud, rocking our country — yet it is actually nothing new.[1][2] Colorado is not in the middle of the election fiasco for the Presidential election, but it is being sued for the most basic of voter fraud — keeping dead or ineligible people on the voter rolls.[3] This election is far from over. Justice for all and the rule of law continue to be tested in our great land by forces of evil. The Supreme Court of the United States may be the final arbiter of the election, but how we move forward will be up to the people.
As I reflect on the election in Colorado, it is heartbreaking to think that the people of our state like the way they are being governed. But then again, they voted to increase the power of government, increase multiple taxes, endanger livelihoods on the Western Slope, expand gambling, negate the electoral college in Colorado, and refused to protect babies in the womb. They also voted to retain leaders in the Colorado House and Senate whose sole purpose is to further a radical agenda to transform the state. If you want to read about all that has happened the past two years under their leadership, check out former Senator Lundberg’s book Unmasked 2020.
Waves of storm clouds continue to wash over Colorado. Due to the stress the recent pandemic placed on the public school system and the families within it, multiple bills addressing the education crisis will surely be brought forward this session, and home educators cannot expect to get a pass. We are going to need all hands on deck. It is time to prepare to bring light and truth into the halls of government that opposes God’s ways. Pray that God will protect the homeschool law and will bless us with the wisdom to know how to overcome! Establish a relationship with both your representatives now. Join the Colorado Homeschool Freedom Team, especially the prayer email list where I put out weekly prayer requests concerning active bills. Watch for action alerts from CHEC. Even in the midst of the storm clouds, continue to rest in the hope of Jesus and His steadfast love.
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let Your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in You.
Psalm 33:20-22 (ESV)
Trusting in the mighty power and grace of Jesus,
