Caucus: The First Step in Making a Difference
Last month, I communicated that 2018 is a pivotal year for Colorado’s future. It all begins next month at the precinct caucuses on Tuesday, March 6th at 7 PM. Every two years, the major parties in Colorado (Democrat and Republican) hold precinct caucuses where neighbors get together for an evening to elect delegates to represent them. These delegates will cast votes that will determine who gets first billing on the primary ballot in June.

Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, brought her Rethink School Tour to Colorado last week. The goal of the tour was “…to highlight what’s working. We want to encourage local education leaders to continue to be creative, to empower parents with options and to expand student-centered education opportunities” (learn more here).

The 2017 Colorado Legislative session, my first on staff as CHEC’s Homeschool Legislative Liaison, has been a learning experience for me, and I know I still have much to learn!
