Ready…Set…Wait and Prepare

As of today, there are fifty-one days left in the session. A lot can still happen. A bill introduced this late in the session could breeze through the entire process in three days. Rumblings of a possible homeschool bill last fall picked up steam early in the session but has yet to be seen. We have reached out to legislators and continue to pray for God’s mercy. Our greatest prayer is that level heads will prevail. As we wait, it doesn’t mean we’re inactive.

Awakening to the Danger

Hundreds of concerned citizens from all across Colorado swarmed the Capitol building two weeks ago to voice their opposition to the latest iteration of Comprehensive Human Sexuality Education (HB19-1032). In a previous post I explained more about this bill; suffice it to say it is a bad bill. At its core, this bill attempts to normalize behavior and ideology that is contrary to God’s Word. Those who testified at the public hearing were left dissatisfied, at the end of ten and half hours, with the party-line vote that pushed the bill to the next step in the process. After passing through the House Appropriations Committee on another party-line vote this week, the bill will be debated on the House floor soon. Out of all the bills presented so far this session, this one is causing people to wake up to the danger that lies before us.
