Just as one school year wraps up, it’s already time to start thinking about making curriculum choices for the next year. Sometimes you find just the right curriculum on your first try, but other times … what worked for one student doesn’t work for the next. Or, you purchase a highly recommended curriculum, only to find that everything you heard about it doesn’t seem to work that way for you. Have you ever wondered if it needs to be so hard?

Homeschooling is a life of high adventure. There was the initial plunge, and there’s always something new along the way — something unexpected, something that doesn’t work anymore, something that makes things harder than it seems like they should be … and then there are some things that are surprisingly good, experiences that are surprisingly exciting, and relationships that are surprisingly sweet. 

As homeschooling families, we choose this path because we know it matters. Yet, as much as we know that homeschooling matters, not everyone else believes it. Since we live in a country where our Christian foundation is being torn down and disregarded, it’s more crucial than ever before to make sure we don’t keep the importance of homeschooling and all that it signifies — religious liberty, parental rights, Christian foundations, and God’s design for the family — to ourselves.
