The use of homeopathic medicine is growing in the United States and across the world. Over the past several years, I have known several homeschool leaders who lost their battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord. They chose to use a combination of alternative and conventional medicine. No one took them away from their families or forced chemotherapy on them.

Vaccine Update
While the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has decided not to press for the use of a department’s standard form for religious or personal exemptions at this time, it is certain that a bill will be brought forth next session. It will most likely include mandating their form and forcing the usage of their centralized database. CDPHE is still pursuing the expansion of the vaccine schedule through the legal means they already possess. Our main concern at this point is the removal of religious or personal exemptions. Please, continue to express your concerns to your representatives about this possibility, be ready to act when the time comes, and pray for God’s mercy on His people.

SEL: Shaping of Student’s Attitudes and Values
An ever-growing movement within the education system called Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is being treated as the holy grail when it comes to solving a myriad of issues blamed on mental health. SEL seeks to strengthen five competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Sounds good, right? But back up a minute and ask yourself: Through what worldview lens are these character skills being taught? Is it the proper role of the state to teach these things? How will they measure success in these skills?

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is attempting to make law by changing their rules and forcing the usage of the “department’s standard” immunization exemption forms. (The legislature has repeatedly refused to require the use of CDPHE’s form.) They are giving you until August 26th to provide feedback on this attempt. Please, join us in taking action!
