Legislative Alert: Your Action Needed for HR 610

Feb 11, 2017 | Blog, Homeschool Freedom, Legislative Alert

Dear Friends of Homeschooling,

We need to bring to your attention an urgent matter concerning a bill, H.R. 610, that would negatively impact homeschooling across the nation. It is currently up for consideration in the US House of Representatives.

CHEC stands with HSLDA in opposing this bill. They have written an excellent article explaining the dangers. Find it here:

Since families from Colorado are not from the districts that the sponsoring legislators represent, we (along with HSLDA) encourage you to use social media to politely but firmly remind these congressmen that homeschooling families do not want federal vouchers. You can also send each congressman a letter via the United States Postal Service. (The HSLDA article includes some suggested verbiage.)

Please remember that these congressmen are friends of homeschooling, and that this bill is well-intentioned, but ultimately dangerous.

Trusting in the mighty power and grace of Jesus,
Carolyn Martin, CHEC Legislative Liaison
