CHEC is committed to respecting your online privacy, and for your benefit, this Privacy Policy outlines the information we collect from users of CHEC.org. By accessing CHEC.org, you acknowledge and understand our Privacy Policy and fully consent to the information collection and practices outlined below.

How your information is collected

  • Information that you give to us: We may ask for your information, including but not limited to first and last name, email, phone number, address, billing information, and if needed the names of family members when you register for an event, purchase a product, enroll in the Independent School, or subscribe to one of our paper or online magazines, eblasts, or updates.
  • Information automatically collected: For the purpose of providing a quality website, we collect information on website traffic from our Web Server logs, the user, and cookies. CHEC.org utilizes Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect anonymous traffic data, which may include the number of visitors to a page, downloaded documents, time and length of visit, inbound links, and most-visited pages. If you wish to opt-out of this service, learn more here. We may additionally track information to administer the site and analyze its usage for the purpose of serving our visitors and customers better.
  • Purchases you make: Online transactions and order details are processed and stored securely through a 128 bit secure transaction gateway. Your credit card information is not stored or shared in any internal database or file.

How your information is used

  • Your personal information will be primarily used to contact you regarding an event you have registered for, deliver a product you have purchased, or update you regarding pertinent information, as well as contact you for marketing purposes that we think would be beneficial to you.
  • Your email, as provided by you, will be added to our email subscription to enable us to send important homeschool updates, information about upcoming events or products or other details about CHEC. In addition, in order to support our ministry, CHEC sells advertising via our emails and magazine, and we may contact you about third-party products or promotions. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • We do not sell, rent, or give away your information to any third party without your express permission, except to fulfill your requests for services, to protect ourselves from liability, to respond to legal processes or comply with law, or in connection with business transfers, combinations, or liquidation of the organization.
  • Website tracking: We utilize the information gathered from cookies and website tracking in order to improve the quality and content of our website.

Changing, updating, or removing your information

Should you wish to change, update, or remove your information used by CHEC:

  • At any time, you may unsubscribe from our emails (simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email) or from the Homeschool Update magazine by contacting us and requesting removal.
  • To update your information or request to be removed from our database, please contact us at office@chec.org, call 720-842-4852, or mail request to 19039 Plaza Dr Ste 210, Parker, CO, 80124.
  • The CHEC Independent School is required by law to keep enrolled families in the database indefinitely, but all mailings can be stopped.

Third-Party Websites

CHEC provides third party links on our resource pages for your benefit. CHEC is not responsible for the privacy policies of these other websites, and we recommend you review the privacy policies of third party websites.

Future Changes to Privacy Policy

CHEC reserves the right to change or update this privacy policy at any time, and we recommend you review this statement periodically. If the change is significant, we will contact our users via this statement, a notification on our website, or an email.

Refund Policy

Just as is customary with any ticketed event, we are not able to offer refunds or cancellations once a registration has been processed. In the event you cannot attend the event, your registration fee can be converted into a donation upon request, and we will send you a donation receipt. Messaging Terms & Conditions

General

When you opt-in to the service, we will send you a message to confirm your signup.

By opting into messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from CHEC. Automated messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system to the mobile telephone number you provided when signing up or any other number that you designate.

Message frequency varies, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with CHEC. CHEC reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time to increase or decrease the total number of sent messages. CHEC also reserves the right to change the short code or phone number or alphanumeric sender where messages are sent

Your usual message and data rates may apply. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your mobile provider. Your mobile provider is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.

Cancellation

Messages will provide instructions to unsubscribe either by texting STOP or through an included link. After you unsubscribe, we will send you a message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed and no more messages will be sent. If you would like to receive messages from CHEC again, just sign up as you did the first time and CHEC will start sending messages to you again.

For support regarding our services, email us at office@chec.org or, if supported, text \”HELP\” to our messages at any time and we will respond with instructions on how to unsubscribe. If we include a link in messages we send you from CHEC, you may also access instructions on how to unsubscribe and our company information by following that link.

Transfer of Number

You agree that before changing your mobile number or transferring your mobile number to another individual, you will either reply \”STOP\” from the original number, unsubscribe using the link included in our messages (if one is provided), or notify us of your old number at ted@chec.org. The duty to inform us based on the above events is a condition of using this service to receive messages.

Messaging Terms Changes

We reserve the right to change or terminate our messaging program at any time. We also reserve the right to update these Messaging Terms at any time. Your continued enrollment following such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
