As we shared last Friday (read more here), HB 1164 passed at the Thursday, February 25th meeting of the House Health, Insurance, and Environment Committee. On Monday, March 7th, the proposed bill will be read on the floor of the House Legislature (see schedule here). Public testimony is not permitted, but the gallery will be open to the public to attend.
We encourage you to contact your legislator and voice your opinion on HB 1164. Your phone message (most effective) or email can be as simple as, “Please let Representative Smith know that I urge him/her to strongly oppose HB 1164 because it encroaches on personal privacy and freedom.
