At CHEC’s Introduction to Homeschooling Seminar, experienced homeschool parents will walk you through what you need to know to get started, so you can stop wondering, “Can we really do this?”
Instead, you’ll be telling yourself, “We know our next step!”
When you’re just beginning, homeschooling can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to be! And after this practical seminar, you’ll walk away knowing answers to all these questions and more:
- “What are my legal options for homeschooling in Colorado?”
- “What is the difference between filing a Notice of Intent (NOI) and enrolling in an independent school?”
- “How do I choose the right curriculum for my kids from the many options available?”
- “What about socialization and other extracurricular activities?”
- “Where can I connect with other like-minded families?”
- “How does homeschooling work day-to-day?” You’ll receive practical guidance on schedules, records, assessments, and the other nuts and bolts of home education!
- “Is there more to homeschooling than just doing school at home?” Spoiler Alert!! You’ll learn how homeschooling gives you flexibility, freedom, and opportunities you didn’t know existed to go beyond simply educating your children’s minds, but intentionally discipling their hearts!
In Person Registration
$20 per family to attend in person: Includes coffee and light refreshments. Grandparents are welcome to attend for free. Childcare is not provided.
