Free Colorado Homeschool Law PDF
There are THREE options to legally homeschool in Colorado. Depending on which option you choose will direct which laws to follow.
- Home-Based Education Program – You are required to submit a “notice of intent” (NOI) with a CO school disctrict.
- Independent (Umbrella) School – You are NOT REQUIRED to file a notice of intent with a school district but you do need to follow the umbrella schools requirements.
- Colorado teaching license – Obtain and maintain a certified Colorado teaching license. (No reporting or testing requirements exist for a parent holding a current Colorado teaching license)
