If you’re like many families, Christmas rolls around, and you get tired of the commercialized-busyness that so easily eats away at the joy of the season.
So how can we keep a Christ-centered Christmas?
Let me share a resource that has really blessed me. In her book, Treasuring God in Our Traditions, Nöel Piper shares from her years as a mother and pastor’s wife seeking to instill Christ-centered traditions in her family. Several years ago, Revive our Hearts also did an interview with her on the topic.
How do you keep the message of Christmas central in your traditions? Please comment to this post and share with others!
Merry Christmas!

We put up a Jesse Tree every year. It traces the foreshadowing of the coming of Christ all the way from Creation through the Old Testament. We use Ann Voskamp’s narrative and images. The kids like getting to put a picture up on our (butcher paper) tree every year and I love that we are experiencing and learning about God’s plan as a family!
