It is pretty evident that the secular world we live in today promotes rebellion. For decades we have witnessed our educational system become secularized and the media elites demonize political authority, the military, institutional authority, religion (especially Christianity), and the two cornerstones of the traditional family: the traditional marriage and traditional child-rearing. It is no wonder we are experiencing such devastation and chaos across America.

5 Ways Dads Can Get Involved

Dads need to be homeschooled. Which is simply to say, from a Christian perspective, dads have to intentionally train themselves to lead their families to know Christ.
If you do an internet search for practical ideas on how dads can be involved in homeschooling, you will find quite a few good ideas. I don’t intend to duplicate all that good advice here. I simply want to encourage dads with a few things that stick out to me from the successes and failures of the ongoing process of homeschooling our six children.

Ready or not … school is starting!
And there’s almost nothing as fun as new school materials. The aisles of new crayons, markers, and notebooks in stores right now are still as enticing to me as an adult as they were when I was being homeschooled. But as if those school supplies weren’t enough fun, new school books were always the most exciting part! Whether we were opening a box with some brand new workbooks or if they were new-to-us items from a used curriculum sale or garage sale, it really didn’t matter. Fresh school books were always exciting!
