"It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently a free people."

-James Madison

There are three different FREE workshops offered at Day at the Capitol:

Children's Workshop (10am and 1:30pm, Pillar of Fire Church, 1340 Sherman St..)

Skits and interaction with the speakers make this dynamite workshop for children age 7-12. Your students will learn about brave, influential Christians from Colorado's past.  They will also learn about the proper function of authority and, in turn, of civil government - it's responsibilities and limits.

Teen Workshop (10am and 1:30pm, Pillar of Fire Church 1340 Sherman St.)

Designed for students age 13-18, this workshop will teach your students about the Constitution and what the Bible has to say about civil government.  They will also explore some of Colorado's Christian History and see that God didn't let Colorado leave Him "back East".

Citizen Lobbyist Workshop (1:30pm meeting at Pillar of Fire Church, 1340 Sherman St.)

Join Treon Goossen and Brad Hamill as they guide students through what it means to be a lobbyist at the state capitol.  Teens and adults alike will enjoy sitting in on legislative activities at the Capitol and more!
