2010 Future Statesman Program

Have you ever looked at the stained glass windows in our Colorado capitol dome? Did you know that three of them are portraits of influential Christians from our state's past? One of them was a trader on the Santa Fe Trail who gave each employee a Bible and a hymn book. Another was an itinerant preacher who had many adventures as he traveled between mining camps on homemade skis. Another was an early governor who helped start many churches in the area. Learn about these and many other interesting Christians from Colorado's past as you do the activities in this year's Future Statesman kit.  There is also a page comparing our US and state Constitutions.  Activites are for ages seven or eight on up through teens.  The younger ages may need some help depending on their reading level, but they will enjoy cutting out and placing pictures on the map and timeline in the booklet.

Completion of this program fulfills the Colorado homeschooling law requiring regular courses of instruction in the U.S. Constitution.

Bring your Certificate of Completion (included in book) to Homeschool Day at the Capitol on April 16 and receive your embroidered patch!

The workshops taught at Homeschool Day at the Capitol are designed to reinforce the concepts taught in the Future Statesman Program.  Be sure to sign up for these FREE workshops when you register and order your books!
